"Audiobooks for Children" marks the return of the good old tape recorder – right on your iPhone or iPad!

Many parents recall listening to stories on their own tape recorders when they were children. Now the new generation of digital kids can experience listening to stories, fast forwarding and rewinding the tapes themselves.

This is what other users said about “Audiobooks for Children”:
- “Well read stories you will want to listen to again and again”
- “The tape recorder is spot on – even the sound it makes when you shove in a tape is right”
- “Nostalgia goodness”
- “Audiobooks for Children is cool. Made for children but the parents will love it”

The app lets you enjoy classic fairy tales such as “Clumsy-Hans”, “The Emperor’s New Clothes” and “The Princess and the Pea”.

You can also put a blank tape in the deck and record your own stories. That way your children can have a story read aloud by their mom or dad anytime.

Wondering why we made the app? We’re firm believers that the iPad and the iPhone is a wonderful medium for children. But we also understand why parents sometimes worry that their children might be spending too much time fiddling with gadgets and gazing into a screen.

This is why we made “Audiobooks for Children”. The app can become a natural part of the children’s playtime. Press ‘PLAY and have “The Princess and the Pea” read aloud while you turn the couch upside down and pretend it’s a fairy tale castle. Take “Audiobooks for Children” along in the car for long drives – or on the restaurant so the kids can listen to “The Ugly Duckling” while mom and dad enjoy their coffee without the children asking when it’s time to go home.

Included in the app are a free fairy tale and a 30 second blank tape for recording yourself. Should you like our product you can buy additional stories or longer blank tapes for the price of $0.99 each. The app has a child safety feature which means the children can’t accidentally buy anything themselves.
